Boulder Unveils New Behemoth
At 2012’s RMAF I had the pleasure of listening to a system featuring Boulder’s massive 3050 mono power amp. To cater to demanding audiophiles who don’t have the room (or can’t quite stretch to the ~$200K USD asking price) for a pair of 3050s, Boulder have announced its stereo sibling, the 3060.
The $115,000 USD MSRP 3060 is Class A biased, and rated at 900 WPC. As you might guess with that many Class A watts, the 3060 is a big amplifier (weighing in at a whopping 200 KG), and, like its bigger brother, requires a dedicated 240V line.
